Ordering Digital Image Files

Search this site for the images you want and complete the order form at the bottom of the page for each item.

Note: If you have multiple orders, you may want to create an account so that you don't need to enter your contact information for each order.

High Resolution Files

Files and Delivery - You will receive the highest resolution file available. In most cases, this will be a 600-dpi JPEG file for photographic images and a 300-dpi JPEG or TIFF file for larger images such as maps. Small files can be delivered via e-mail; larger files must be sent through either a file delivery service or transferred to a CD and mailed (for a small fee). Allow up to three business days to complete an order. Fees - The fee per image/file is $10.00 for individuals and non-profit organizations or $25.00 for commercial, for-profit entities. Prepayment is required unless special arrangements have been made in advance. Payment may be made by check payable to Kansas City Public Library or by credit card using the Library's online payment page.

Low Resolution Files

Download Instructions - Right-click on the image; select "Save As" or "Save Picture As" and save the file to a location on your computer. MAC users Command click.

There is no charge to download/use the low resolution images from our website. However, an order still must be submitted to the Library. Permission to download or use images is not granted until the completed order form has been received.
