Short story about the bullet to the forehead that Abraham Ellis took from William Quantrill. It occurred in March, 1862, at an inn in Aubry, Kansas. The bullet went through the window and his hat before penetrating his head. The wound never totally closed. Article contains a photograph of Ellis showing the hole in his forehead.
