Article about the Union Mission, a Presbyterian Indian mission established in 1820 "among the Osages on the Neosho river, near Fort Gibson, Indian territory," by "the United Foreign Missionary Society." Description of the preceding migration of Osage Indians to Kansas Territory "as early as 1815" and continuing with the 1821 establishment of the Harmony Mission just east of Union Mission "near Pappinsville, Bates county, Missouri" and 1825 relinqueshment of all Osage Indian land in Missouri.
