Biographical sketch of Edwin Weeks, "consulting electrical and mechanical engineer; 'The father of electric light and power in Kansas City.'" Born in Wisconsin in 1855 and raised in Kansas City, becoming manager of the Kawsmouth Electric Light Company (later the Kansas City Electric Light Company) and the Edison Electric Light & Power Company as well as author of several articles and books on electricity with office in the New Nelson Building and residence at 3408 Harrison Street.
