Profile and interview with Robert Shemwell, podiatrist of Harry and Bess Truman. Shemwell became the Trumans' doctor in 1959 when he took over the practice from another podiatrist, Stanley Rowe, at the age of 27. Shemwell treated the former president and first lady, and even made the occasional house call. He is now 80 years old, lives in Excelsior Springs, and still practices medicine.
