Description
Photograph of buildings spanning 1813-1823 West 39th Street, circa 1990. Cafe Allegro,
at 1815 W. 39th, and Jimmy's Jigger bar, at the southwest corner of 39th and State Line Road, are among the businesses pictured. These commercial buildings, and the other on 39th Street between Bell and State Line, were dubbed Jamestown Square in the late 1980s, and were subject to redevelopment plans for the buildings and surrounding streetscape and parking lots. University of Kansas Medical Center buildings are visible in the background of the image. |
