View looking west of the Commonwealth Hotel that once stood at 1216 Broadway Boulevard under construction. Construction workers can be seen on the sidewalk and posed in some of the building's windows. The building was completed in 1925. Several cars parked along Broadway Boulevard can be seen. Sings for the Burnerator Brown Bed Company, Haydite Concrete, Quality Builders, the Weatherproof Products Company, the Thomas L. Dawson Company, Millwork Complete Sowers-Taylor Company, and Star Tobacco are in view. The building that once stood at 1224-1226 Broadway Boulevard can be seen on the left hand side of the image. The building that once stood at 1210-1212 Broadway Boulevard is in view on the right.
