Native of Mississippi coming to Kansas city in 1932 as pastor of the Woodland Avenue Christian Church, moved to "West Paseo" about 1937. "[A]lso a real estate broker" and serving as "the impetus for the breaking [of] the division which existed between the white and black Christian Churches (Disciple[s] of Christ)."
