This collection contains a total of 46 media items which feature motion pictures in which Jean Harlow and Wallace Beery appeared. Most of the titles are in VHS format with some DVDs and CDs included. In addition to media, the collection contains printed biographies and filmographies for the two actors as well as some other actors who appeared with them.

Jean Harlow was born March 3, 1911, in Kansas City, Missouri. She died at the age of 26 while living in California. Wallace Beery was born on a farm northwest of Smithville in Clay County, Missouri, on April 1, 1885. His family moved to Kansas City in the mid-1890s. He died in Hollywood April 15, 1949.<br><br>Michael A. Paller worked as a librarian in various positions with the Cleveland Public Library system. He had for many years collected films of various actors. In 2007 he distributed his collections to appropriate libraries across the country and chose Kansas City Public Library for the films of Wallace Beery and Jean Harlow because of their Kansas City origins.
