Description
Rev. John Preciphs came to Kansas City from Texas in the mid-1960s to head the United Methodist Inner City Parish. Much of his ministry was with helping those in the inner city and the homeless. He also worked with the Council for United Action, National Welfare Rights Organization, NAACP, etc. His service of burial was held October 25, 2002 at the Swope Park United Methodist Church and he is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery.
