Description
Photograph of 17th Street looking east across Wyandotte Street, including the former
Webster School at 1644 Wyandotte, in the early 1980s. The Webster School building was constructed in 1885 and operated as a school from that time until 1932. From 1932 until 1977 the building housed a variety of businesses and vocational schools. At the time of the photograph, the building was vacant and was planned to undergo a major renovation. The Davidson and Vitagraph Film Exchange buildings and other commercial buildings can be seen in the background of the image. |
