McGee and a biographical sketch of William Newham (1840-1905), a native of Virginia coming to Kansas City in 1866 as a grocery clerk before entering the dry goods business and then the rock quarrying business with residence at 1714 Main Street. Description of his wife Annie McGee Newham, or Annie Newham, daughter of Frye McGee (here "Fry McGee"), builder of "the first brick house in Kansas City in the year 1841" at 19th Street and Baltimore Avenue.
