The paper started in 1980 as the "Penny Pitch" and was published by PennyLane Records (now Streetside Records) in Westport. In the interview, Mayberger, Haddix, and Johnson discuss the beginnings of the "Penny Pitch" newsletter while working for PennyLane Records.
