Description of his life and career as a native of New York moving to Ottawa, Kansas, around 1855. Description of his widow, Clara Jackson Knapp, or Clara Knapp, a 78-year-old (in 1908) artist in Kansas City "doing excellent work in oil, portraiture and scenes; also illustrations for periodicals."
