Near-by property owners are protesting the city's proposal to build a box sewer in the channel of the brook which runs alongside Brookside Boulevard from the vicinity of Fifty-first street to Fifty-fifth street. They will have another chance, the city manager said, when an ordinance to confirm a contract for the construction goes to the council. The stream carries only floodwater. Kansas City Star.
