Transcribed article: Only a part of the crowd of about 50,000 persons which attended an air show at the Olathe naval air base yesterday can be seen from this helicopter view of the control tower area. A traffic jam tied up traffic most of the day. To and from the air base motor cars were lined bumper-to-bumper on major highways and country roads. Johnson County deputy sheriffs and state troopers estimated more than 20,000 cars entered the base. Many persons parked as far as two miles away and walked, they said. The air show was part of a celebration in honor of the tenth anniversary of the commissioning of the station. Ground displays of radar and radio equipment, aircraft and small armament and jet and piston aircraft engines were seen. Aerial performances by the famed Blue Angel squadron and other jet fighters and massed flights of piston fighters and bombers also were featured. The throng was over most of the base.
