Photo and bio of George Kahmann, "senior member of the firm of Kahmann & McMurry, prominent contractors of Kansas City," born in Saint Louis in 1854 and coming to Kansas City in 1889 as building contractor of "the Winner bridge over the Missouri river at Kansas City." Also builder with the Hopkins Bridge Company of "the Maple Leaf bridge at Kansas City; and the substructure of the Sixth street viaduct over the Kaw river at Kansas City."
