Transcribed article: Scene of the Rendezvous for Binaggio and Gargotta before Their Murder. The place where Charles Binaggio and Charles Gargotta met before going to the First Democratic club and death, was this gambling joint on Southwest boulevard and the State Line. This is a view of the front of the place. The double murder of the political and underworld chiefs thus served to focus attention on the gambling spot that has run, almost without police interruption, for many years. The fact that even surveyors can't agree on just where the state line bisects the buildings has served to baffle the occasional police raids. The arrow points to a closed, glass paneled door painted black except for a small section left clear to serve as a peek hole. Inside the door in another, covered with a steel plate. Kansas City Times, April 07, 1950.
