Biographical sketch of William Sternberger, a storekeeper and resident at a building constructed by him on 15th Street. Born in Detroit in 1867 and coming to Kansas City in 1887 as a wholesale dry goods "teamster" before opening his own dry goods and shoe store at 2317 East 15th Street in 1895 and building his own store at 2223 East 15th Street in 1905.
