Biographical sketch of Charles Van Vleck, "founder" of the method of "organotherapy," a treatment of for the "mentally deficient, through the use of animal gland extracts." Born in New York in 1858 and coming to Kansas City in 1885 as a traveling salesman, later organizing the E. P. Dresser Soap Company in 1901 and then the Purity Manufacturing Company before founding his organotherapy business.
