Photograph of the Thomas Carlyle Apartments building at 700 Ward Parkway circa 1990.
Construction began on the building, designed by local architect Nelle E. Peters, in 1928. It belonged to a complex of buildings called the Poet Apartment Buildings, consisting of seven residential buildings named after literary figures including Carlyle, Mark Twain and Robert Louis Stevenson. |
