Article focuses upon the demolition of the Orion Pictures Building that was located on the corner of 17th Street and Wyandotte. Advocates of the Crossroads neighborhood and preservationists are interviewed and express their concerns for the future of Kansas City's Film Row district, a collection of structures with historic ties to Hollywood and the motion picture industry. The City Council of Kansas City's failed effort to protect Film Row in 2005 is also discussed.
