Description
Photograph of the Delaware Lofts building, at 218 Delaware Street, in the 1980s. The
building was built by Townley Metal and Hardware Company as a warehouse circa 1890, and was converted to residential loft space in 1988. The building to its north, at 208 Delaware, was built in 1905 for the W. B. Young Supply Company, and was also integrated into the Delware Lofts residential project. The building at the north end of the block, at 200-06 Delaware, was built in 1922 for Chase Bag Company and was still serving as a factory and warehouse at the time of the photograph. |
