Born in Kentucky in 1846 and coming to Kansas City in 1897 as manager "of the Carleton Hotel," then becoming proprietor of the Densmore Hotel upon its completion about 1898 and becoming manager of the Inez Hotel upon its opening about 1899, "built by J. P. Batchlor, of Kansas City."
