Photograph of the Charles Van Noy Residence at 6800 Elmwood Avenue in the mid-1980s.
The building, built in 1909 for railroad concessions entrepreneur Charles Van Noy as a country estate, was designed by architect Clifton B. Sloan and is located near the entrance to Swope Park. An neighboring residence, at 6700 Elmwood, was built simultaneously for his brother, Ira Van Noy. The property was listed for sale in 1986. |
