Description
Photograph of a house at 7901 Bannister Road in the 1980s. The house was the country
home of Long-Bell Lumber Company president Frederick J. Bannister and family, and the site of their award-winning La Cima dairy farm from 1910 to Bannister's death in 1934. The property, spanning from approximately Blue Ridge Parkway east to James A. Reed Parkway, and 95th south to 100th Street, was subdivided into a suburban residential development beginning in 1945. |
