Photograph of Nichols Road between Pennsylvania and Broadway, looking east, in 1977.
Embassy movie theater is pictured, advertising the movie "Julia" on the marquee. The theater closed in 1981. The Plaza Bowl bowling alley, at the left edge of the image, opened in 1940 and closed in 1978. The buildings were partially demolished for the construction of a Saks department store, which opened in 1982. |
