Biographical sketch of Wiley Cox, president of the Kansas City State Bank at 812 Delaware Street, born in Mississippi in 1848 and starting in the banking business in Springfield, Missouri, arriving in Kansas City in 1882. Description of his career, starting in the real estate business, then in 1888 organizing his present bank, becoming "editor and proprietor of the 'Kansas City Times," and serving in the City Council and as police commissioner, residing at 601 East 9th Street.
