File containing a photo and biographical article about Leon Jordan (1905-1970), a former Missouri state representative and detective with the Kansas City Police Department. Native of Kansas City serving as a detective here from 1936 until "commissioned by the government of Liberia in Africa to reorganize constabulary forces" there in 1947, then returning to Kansa sCity in 1954 as a civic activist and co-founder of the political organization Freedom, Incorporated before being assassinated in 1970. Description of the statue of him planned at "the Leon Jordan park recently developed at 31st and Benton Blvd."
