Description
Reprint of article from the Kansas City Star May 11, 1902 about the "old Westport graveyard." It appears to have been set aside for graves about 1835 and was the one general graveyard until "judge Bernard and others bought fifty acres on the old Westport road and started what is now Union cemetery. That was in 1856." The article includes tombstone inscriptions, including those of the earliest Wornalls.
