Article spotlights the collections and staff of the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Marr Sound Archives. The Archives was established in 1987 through a gift of Gaylord Marr, who taught History of Media at UMKC. The core of the collection is jazz recordings, but musical styles such as rock and roll, blues, country western, and classical are also represented.
