In Steve Penn's Commentary column are listed the new board members for the Black Archives of Mid-America Inc. The names include: Barbara Peterson (widow of the founder Horace Peterson), Nolen Ellison, Denise Gilmore, Crosby Kemper III, Christopher Leitch, Sam Mann, Pellom McDaniels III, John R. O'Malley, Terrie Rouse, Sharon Sanders Brooks, Wilhelmina Stewart, Airick West, Warren Watkins, and Anthony Arnold. The first meeting of the new board is scheduled for January 25, 2007, at the Gem Theater. It is hoped that the Black Archives can moved into planned space at 17th Street and Woodland Avenue.
