Description
After nearly two decades in operation, The Woodlands racetrack in Kansas City, Kansas, has closed its doors. The last greyhound race at the track took place on August 23, 2008. The article describes The Woodlands decline in attendance and revenues since it opened in 1989. The track had not turned a profit since riverboat gambling emerged in Missouri in the mid-1990s.
