Description
A collection of newspaper clippings, largely from the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Times, detailing the murder case of Sueanne Hobson. Hobson was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her thirteen-year-old stepson, Chris Hobson. The woman hired her son, James Crumm, and another man, Paul Sorrentino, to shoot Chris, whose body was found in a shallow grave near a Miami County, Kansas creek (the grave had been dug by the victim before his murder). All three defendants were found guilty. A number of the articles center on Hobson's parole hearings. Most of the articles are annotated with their date and source of publication.
