Description
Article describes the continuing financial struggles of Union Station, as well as plans by Station leaders to generate revenue and cut expenses. The new direction calls for leasing additional space inside of the building, scaling back attractions, and outsourcing services. Attendance at the Station's main venues, Science City and the Gottlieb Planetarium, have steadily declined since the building reopened in 1999. Union Station buildings in other large cities are also profiled in the article.
