Article about the record store started at 76th and Troost by Jan Fichman in 1974. "At its height, there were seven Seventh Heaven stores: Troost, downtown at 10th and Main streets, Overland Park (95th and Nall, then 91st and Metcalf), Kansas City, Kan. (State Avenue) and Lee's Summit, Blue Springs and Sedalia, Mo." Only the Troost and Blue Springs stores remain. Tthe Troost store has survived by becoming a center for Kansas City rap or hip-hop music.
