Article provides a chronological history of Spanish expeditions into or through Colorado that are not often cited in such histories or lists. The first part covers expeditions taking place in the period from 1540 to 1600, and the second part covers the 17th and 18th centuries. Many expeditions are named and classified, including Coronado, Rodriguez, Espejo, Sosa, Onate, Archuleta, Uribarri, Valverde, Villasur, Bustamente, Tagle, Rivera, Dominguez, Escalante, and Anza.
