The Urban Living section of the newspaper features a history and review of the Downtown Community Imporvement District created in 2003 to "create a friendly, inviting atmosphere for all those who live, work and play downtown." DCID workers provide directions, remove graffiti, clean up the downtown area, and serve as security officers to the Kansas City Public Library Central Branch.
