Biographical article about Miss Elizabeth Dickinson (~1837-1931), "pioneer Kansas schoolteacher" and keeper of "a diary of her early life at Quindaro, the anti-slavery port on the Missouri River in the days of building Kansas." Description of the new marker for her previously unmarked grave and of her life, moving from her native Massachusetts to Kansas in 1859 and founding the "Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library," and dying at the age of 94 in 1931.
