File containing several newspaper articles primarily from the Kansas City Call with photos and biographical information about Roy Barker, owner of the Barker's Deluxe Market and president of the Negro Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City. He was an African American born in Topeka, Kansas about 1889 and opened his grocery store here in 1921 at 2430 Vine Street before being shot to death there in 1966 by robbers.
