Article detailing the efforts of the Benton Boulevard Beautification Leadership Team to clean up blighted areas along the historic Benton Boulevard Corridor. The Leadership team is represented by neighborhood associations, property owners, churches and community volunteers. Benton Boulevard was designed by Kansas City architect George F. Kessler in 1893 and was once considered one of the most beautiful areas in Kansas City. It is the hope of the current residents to "recapture the glory days" of the neighborhoods along the Corridor.
