Overview of the Lee Co., maker of jeans, as well as fashion changes. The Lee Co. traces its roots to Salina, Kansas, in 1892. "In 1916, Lee built a new plant and office building at 20th and Wyandotte streets in Kansas City, which is now being converted into condos in the Crossroads Arts District." Vanity Fair Corp., now VF, purchased the Lee Co. in 1969. Includes photo of Lee Jeans advertising mascot Buddy Lee and of the company's current president Joe Dzialo.
