Material pertaining to the Zebulon Pike Southwestern Expedition of 1806-1807, including an excerpt from Pike's journal. A brief item describes a planned 'Pike Plaza' on the east side of Larned City Park to commemorate Pike's visit to the Larned area in October, 1806. The journal entries reprinted here are those of March 5-8, 1807, when Pike departed from Santa Fe and travelled through the villages of Albuquerque and Tousac.
