30 years ago Kansas City had 800 street cars. Next July it will have none.. .After the war, the Brooklyn and Woodland lines and others were given over to tires instead of tracks. Recently the transition has come swiftly. The Thirty-first street line was changed over last year. Then came Twelfth and now Troost.
