Photo and bio of General Daniel Frost, or D. M. Frost, a Confederate general in Missouri who was born in New York in 1823. He was involved in the Mexican War before moving to Saint Louis and becoming engaged in military overland trains to Oregon. He was elected Missouri state senator and settled on a farm outside Saint Louis after the Civil War.
