"After lying for 30 years in an unmarked grave," Carroll Ray "Dink" Mothell received a headstone installed by the Society of American Baseball Research. Mothell played 15 seasons in the Negro Leagues beginning in 1920 and was a part of the 1924 and 1925 championship teams for the Kansas City Monarchs.
