Photo and book review of "The Mullendore Murder Case" by Jonathan Kwitny about the life and death by murder of Eugene Mullendore III (ca. 1938-1970), a rich cattle ranch owner "of Osage County, Oklahoma, just 200 miles south of Kansas City." Description of his life as heir of the Mullendore oil and ranching fortune evidently associated with "shady" and underworld characters (such as Kent Green and Sal Capra) and deals in his frequent trips to Kansas City (engaging in a brawl "in the Playboy Club lobby in Kansas City" and flying here for groceries, etc.) before being murdered by an unidentified shooter at his home.
