Other pioneer architects of Kansas City were Adriance Van Brunt and his younger brother, John Van Brunt. ..Adriance Van Brunt was admitted to the American Institute of Architects in 1873; and when the first Park Board was organized in Kansas City, he served on it for several years. One of the newer boulevards in Kansas City is named in his honor.
