Biographical sketch of Dr. Herbert Mantz, a Kansas City physician and "zealous worker in the crusade against tuberculosis" at his "local clinic founded to combat this dread disease." Born in Westplains, Missouri, in 1896 and coming here about 1920 as "an interne of the General Hospital of Kansas City" before becoming "superintendent of Leeds Hospital for a number of years" and founding his tuberculosis sanitarium.
