Photo and bio of William Wallace, a lawyer and former journalist of Kansas City and Independence. Born in Kentucky in 1848 and raised near Lee's Summit, Missouri before becoming a teacher and then lawyer and reporter for the Independence Sentinel and Kansas City Times. Later "gain[ing] national fame through his fearless prosecution of the James boys" as prosecuting attorney of Jackson County.
